Reminding me of the Fourth of July, I made a lovely red, white, and blue daisy flower ornament. Share the amazing world of upcycling with family and friends. This surprising and unexpected floral beauty is made with recycled aluminum silver tone cat food can tabs for the white appearance. It hangs from a nearly invisible nylon thread, and this break resistant decoration will grace a Christmas tree for many years.
Amazed by the creative use of rescued materials my flowers are a craft fair favorite. I give each bloom a red center and crochet more rescued yarn around.
* About 3.5 inches round, 8.89 cm
* Presented in a cellophane bag
Recycling Works!
My cats that go through cases of Friskies, keeping me in supply of can tabs. The unwanted yarn ends are diverted from landfill by FabMo, an ecologically minded nonprofit, and as my yarn stash is vast and ever changing, shades will vary.
This cheerful flower can brighten your Spring and Summer decorating. A must have for the unusual ornament collector, or a patriotic friend for July 4th.
